Stamford, CT - August 16, 2002 - BIA Digital Partners LP (the "Fund") has invested $4.0 million to provide growth capital for Trillion Digital Communications, Inc., a leading provider of broadband communications and connectivity services to primarily rural markets in the southeastern United States. BIA Digital Partners' investment will fund the capital expenditures needed to build out approximately 200 new customers and establish the sales and marketing organization in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. Trillion provides high speed, high bandwidth services primarily to the commercial, educational and municipal markets. Headquartered in Bessemer, Alabama with 48 employees, Trillion currently provides service to almost 400 customers in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.

Trillion secured $8.2 million in preferred equity in December 2001, primarily from Hamilton Robinson LLC's private equity fund, Hamilton Robinson LLC, and Jemison Investment Company, recapitalizing the company and expanding Trillion's point-to-point network to 2,000 miles.
