Trillion Digital Communications announces a $6 million 2nd round investment from Housatonic Partners and existing investors.
Stamford, Connecticut - December 12, 2003 - Terry Johnson, CEO of Trillion Digital Communications announced a recent six million dollar ($6,000,000) 2nd round investment from Housatonic Partners and existing investors. Mr. Johnson said, "We appreciate the faith and support shown by Housatonic and our investors in the future of our company. Their support has enabled us to offer our services across the southeast and will fuel the expansion of our wireless networks."
Trillion Digital Communications, Inc. based in Birmingham Al. was founded in 1997 with the specific goal of deploying Internet access via wireless broadband wide area networks to rural K-12 educational institutions. The company now serves commercial, government and educational markets in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Tennessee with over 2,000 miles of wireless WANs. In late 2002 Trillion launched a sister company, Trillion Partners, based in Austin, Texas, to deliver wireless services to 12 states in the western United States. In addition to Internet and wireless WAN services, Trillion's offerings includes voice and video solutions over network, portal, content filtering, and a host of other integrated services.
