Paula Financial is a leading underwriter of specialized workers
compensation insurance for the agribusiness markets, primarily
in the western U.S. The company is a market leader in
its industry, allowing for value added services and the potential
for favorable profit margins. Turmoil in the industry
presented an opportunity for growth recapitalization and improved
market share.
Solution:
Mr. Crihfield initiated an investment along with a group of
institutional investors in Paula Financial. The financing
resulted in a recapitalization of the Company's ESOP structure
and positioned the business for growth in existing and new markets.
Result:
Paula Financial expanded its distribution system and offering
during the year of our involvement. The Company had an
IPO with Goldman Sachs.
